History

ASTZ is situated in the territory of Turgenevo settlement Ardatov region Republic Mordovia. It was Turgenevo village Ardatov district Simbirsk province before . This village was possessed to landowner Turgenev. In 1899 the flour-grinding mill was built in the territory of the village. Its products was much in demand in Russia and abroad (Holland, Finland, Germany, Czechoslovakia).

1949 – 1959

• On the 6-th of April 1949 Council of Ministers of the USSR approved the building of lighting equipment plant of Ministry of Electrotechnical Industry. It was situated in the former buildings of Turgenev mill. According to the order №E-205, 1st August 1949, Ministry of Electrotechnical Industry of the USSR conferred to the plant the title of «National union lighting equipment plant of Ministry of Electrotechnical Industry».
• The initial assortment included portable lamp ПТЛМ-36, luminaire PH-00, socket Svan-Minion 2s15. By the end of 1958 the plant produced more than 20 types of products.

1959 – 1969

• In 1980 the plant was approved as the leader enterprise of lighting equipment production.
• The launch of new products was started. It was the luminaries for mercury lamp DRL 250-400W for normal, moisture and chemically active condition; irradiators for mercury lamp PRK for UF radiation of animals and fowl; series of ballast for luminaires for fluorescent and mercury-quarz lamp.
• In 1964 the shop for producing the lighting features of plastic was built up.
• Trade net of the enterprise extended. Production used as in the USSR so in foreign countries (Algeria, Bulgaria, Vietnam, Rumania, etc).
• In 1969 the main building of the plant was put into operation. The production was moved from the old mill`s building to there.

1969 – 1979

• Production of 14 types of luminaries for incandescent lamp, 25 types of fluorescent lamp, 21 types of irradiators for agricultural sector was started.
• The proper branch railway line was built, electric power system was renovated.
• The conveyor line for fluorescent luminaries was put onto operation.
• The specialized ballast manufacture for fluorescent lamp 40W was started.

1979 – 1989

• More than 33 types of products was adopted for export to more than 20 foreign countries.
• the launch of common purpose fixtures (FPB15, NBB05, NSB06, etc) was started.
• The project of technical re-equipment of the plant was developed and started: the new equipment for stamping, electro-painting, plastic material and instrumental manufactures was obtained.

1989 – 1999

• The decision of transformation the plant onto open joint-stock company was approved . On the 12 of November 1991 open joint-stock company «Lisma-ASTZ» was registrated.
• New series of luminaires was developed. It was LSP27 with protection for fluorescent lamp with low output and labour intensity for industrial premises; PTU and NTU for decorating light in squares, parks, avenues.
• The new Germany extrusion diffuser line was obtained.
• The production of ballast for discharging lamp was started.
• Number of steps for improving the ecology situation was set up.
• In 1995 the plant was honored «The leader of Russian economy» status.

1999 – 2008

• Reorganization and reconstruction of instrumental and repairing shops was done.
• Tow automotive complexes for cutting and clearing assembly wires (Switzerland); electro-erosive machine «SODICK»; three extrusion diffuser line «IDE» (Germany); six moulding machines and three large dimension thermoplast automatic machines «LG» were adopted.
• The modern high-production paint powder line started up.
• The automatic line for ballast production was bought.
• Industrial luminaries (LSP44, PVLM P, FSP05; GSP17, JSP01, PSP complete with ballast), commercial luminaires (LPO46,Universal, LBO46, LSO46), luminaires for outdoor lighting (RKU11, JKU11) were launched.
• The new shop with program control for producing metal housings and reflectors was put onto operation.
• The luminaires LSP44-2х40, LPO46, PVLM P, RSP05 became the winner of the programs «100 best Russian goods» and «100 best Mordovia goods».
